Description
H.A. Dorsten was awarded the contract to construct Phase 1 of Komminsk Legacy Park and started in late 2015. Phase 1 consisted of tiered landscape seating, a splash pad, formed-in-place slide, seating, jungle gym bars, sensory-rich musical instruments, and general landscaping with walks.
H.A. Dorsten was again awarded the contract in 2018 to construct Phase 2 of the park. Phase 2 consisted of additional walks, two swing sets, and a NEOS 360.
Komminsk Legacy Park is situated in the heart of New Bremen and was brought to life by the late Dianne Komminsk. One of Dianne’s greatest loves was creating and building Komminsk Legacy Park, which she felt was a proud memorial to her family and the love they all had for New Bremen. This park will be enjoyed by the Village of New Bremen and all surrounding communities for years to come.
This project received an Award of Excellence (eagle) from The Ohio Valley Associated Builders and Contractors (OVABC) in 2017.
