H.A. Dorsten has been selected by Lima Memorial Health System to act as the General Contractor in the completion of their new medical office building located in Wapakoneta, Ohio. This new space will reside on the corner of Redskin Trail and Lincoln Avenue, and total approximately 12,000 square feet.
Our H.A. Dorsten leadership for day to day operations will consist of Joe Carte as Project Manager, and Jim Stammen as Superintendent. As a first time for both, we will be teaming up with K4 Architecture + Design, an architecture firm out of Cincinnati, and Lima Memorial Health System. There are a lot of moving parts on a construction site, and H.A. Dorsten welcomes the challenge to be the main point of contact to keep those moving parts greased and moving smoothly. Our scope of work as the project General Contractor shall consist of all exterior and interior work to complete the project, including all exterior site improvements.
Scope of Work
Asphalt paving will encompass roughly 41,700 square feet and accommodate parking for approximately 70, with a large stormwater detention pond located in the northwest corner of the eight-acre property. The proposed building will provide a covered entrance, and be comprised of wood stud exterior walls with masonry veneer, EIFS, and aluminum windows and doors. Along with the exterior walls, structural steel columns and beams, along with engineered wood trusses will carry the roof and associated loads. The roof will be comprised of asphalt shingle roofing, with accent lighting placed in the soffits. A metal walkway canopy will provide covered access to the mobile MRI unit on the west side of the building. The building interior will consist of metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings making up approximately 63 rooms.
